Another Day At The Beach

For the past few summers, my family has made it a point to do some kind of fun family vacation together. Since they are not big campers, we usually find a house somewhere and hunker down. We love to play games, watch movies, ride bikes, take walks, go to the beach, and most of all, just spend some good quality time together.

This summer, we decided to check out a beach house in Seabrook, near Pacific Beach, WA. We stayed in a 3 bedroom beach house called Hodgepodge Lodge. It was part of this cute little community just across from the beach. Everyone was riding bikes, walking dogs, running, roasting s'mores, playing ping pong and heading to the beach! We had glorious weather too! All days were sunny by about 12pm and most days were upper 70's-low 80's...even on the beach! It was hot!! We had a great time and Caden was able to touch his tootsies in the Pacific Ocean, too! The water was actually warm, believe it or not! We can't wait to go back!

Hodgepodge Lodge-Our little piece of heaven!

Everyone could fit around one table-even Caden!

Looking toward the beach from across the road where we stayed-Gorgeous sunsets!

Another cool part of the neighborhood-We loved the little pathways that connected the neighborhoods.

The stairs walking down to the beach

Brady and Grandpa-This was our coldest day.

Ocean Shores! We stopped for the Go Karts

The spectators!

We loved to go on evening walks to the beach

This is just one of the cool trails to the beach-Fun to run through in the mornings!

Brady is showing Sophie one of many crab shells that he found

Alex enjoyed locking Sophie out of the house!

LOVE the beach!

Just relaxing on the beach in the shade. It was 83 degrees on the beach! Hot sand!

Our little setup!

Caden and Daddy. Caden's first swim in the Pacific Ocean

As you can see, Sophie LOVED the ocean!

Brady did, too!

Caden enjoyed his afternoon naps on the beach

This is what the mornings looked like

The view from the road looking up to the Seabrook community. The beach is just behind us.

Grandpa and  Grandma stayed with Caden after he went down to bed and let us sneak away for a sunset.

So lovely! We miss it already!

On our way out...
