We have spent this summer on the go, that's for sure! We have been home no more than two weeks in a row before we are off again (and I think we have only been home for two weeks straight once this summer!) It is wild! Caden is definitely a well traveled baby and he does great! We have been to the east coast and the Atlantic Ocean and the west coast and the Pacific Ocean and camped everywhere in between! It has been busy but fun!
For the past two summers, Davie's family has come together for a "family reunion" or a great excuse to all get together and go camping, in Winthrop, WA. We LOVE this trip because we get to see some of his family that we only see a few times a year, and it's HOT!! We all pack our trailers and tents around in a sort of compound and take over a large corner of the KOA. Floating the river is one of our favorite past times and a late melt didn't stop us this year! The water was REALLY cold, but after about 10 minutes your tush went numb and all was good...until you came to the rapids! Only one flip this year, but John made a quick recovery. All in all, we had a blast once again and can't wait until next summer!
(We started off this trip with David's parents and sister in Concrete. We ended up staying a day longer due to some unexpected (and pocket gouging!) car trouble. We noticed that the transmission in our Tahoe was acting up and sure enough we had to have it replaced! Ugh!)
Sophie did not like to walk on this gravel!
We took a family nap while waiting for G and G Bailey and Auntie Lynnsey
