Family Snowshoeing Attempt #1

We decided to try out our new snowshoes this weekend.  So we packed up the stuff (a LOT of stuff) and headed up.  We went to Franklin Falls near Snoqualmie Pass.  It was a 3 mile hike round trip from where we parked the car.  A perfect trail for our maiden trek.  At first Caden wasn't too excited about the pack, he wanted to play in the snow more of course, but he did well.

 

 

 

We walked on the road for a half mile or so around Denny Creek Campground.

 

 

Then we were on the trail.  It was very cool.  Through the woods, along the river.  Not to mention a bit skinny in places.

 

 

 

Had a little lunch at the falls.  Caden threw snow.

 

 

 

It took us 2.5 hours to make the whole trek, lots of stops.  :)  But it was a success.  We all had a great time and are looking forward to our next trail.
